None of these pre-Rush groups were serious professional bands, rather short-lived amateur groups they played in while still school kids.

It seems that the band ultimately fell apart before the gig due to being unable to find a new, permanent lead singer. This was the event that Ian Grandy recalled right around the time of Rush's reformation where they all got together as "Wild Woodpecker Revue". "Wild Woodpecker Revue" was an impromptu band name, consisting of Geddy, Alex, and John, along with Ian Grandy, Sammy Rohr, and Steve Moffat, where they all goofed off and played R&B songs.

The Gasworks (and all local bars) were closed on Sundays, and any given band typically played here for the entire week from Monday through Saturday. The alleged date of August 1 seen on some sources is assuredly in error, stemming from a placeholder.
