Notes:

  • This is the first of two consecutive nights Rush played at the Montreal Forum in 1984.
  • This is one of only two known audience video recordings of the Grace Under Pressure tour.
  • This video was recorded by Pierre C, who also recorded both nights in Montreal in 1983, and Quebec City in 1986.
  • The audio version is sourced directly from the audience camera footage.
  • This show features the third-to-last performance of Afterimage.
  • Alex attempted to resurrect Bastille Day before the concert due to the date being such, however he had trouble remembering the parts.

Preview:

In case anyone missed it on Christmas day, we released a 1st gen upgrade of this well-known video. It's a significant upgrade to the old circulating version.
This upgrade isn't actually a new transfer, the 1st gen VHS transfer is quite old and has been on a very minimally circulated DVD for many years, which has yet to make its way online.

That being said, I do have hope to eventually see a modern better transfer of a different 1st gen VHS copy, as I do know someone who got a handful of VHS copies of shows direct from Pierre.
