Notes:

  • This footage is a rare and obscure piece of 8mm film shot during the Signals tour.
  • As with any 8mm audience footage from this era, full songs and concerts were not able to be captured due to the short length of the film reels.
  • Also as is the case with many 8mm reels of the era, the film used did did not concurrently record audio, so the resulting footage was silent. However, in our present day era, it is fairly easy to sync these old silent 8mm film clips with audio recordings. It's possible an audio sync may be done for this at some point, however it is very hard to see what songs are being played.

Found this footage years ago on youtube and it seems to have disappeared. This is a shitty recording I took back in like 2016 with a bad watermark and it’s cropped poorly. The audio sync is also trash. If anyone has any leads on where the original can be found please let me know. It’s about 30 seconds longer too.

I never knew this existed. I thought the only Signals videos that existed were from the nights in Montreal. I hope you can find this!

Looks like you found it, awesome!!!
Since this has been found, maybe I'll reformat this thread with a new post at the top with the usual formatting, and move it to the Signals tour...
There will be some unknowns of course, but it'd be labeled similarly to that unknown 1979 soundcheck. I'm not sure if we'll ever really find out any further details on this.
