Notes:

  • "Pittsburgh (1st Gen)" is a better quality copy of "Orchestrate Illusions", and is not missing The Pass, however both are missing Force Ten because the taper arrived late. (*)
  • "A Difference Of Perspective" is a recording made by a completely different taper in the audience, and captures Force Ten.

COMING SOON

"Pittsburgh (1st Gen)" came from a tape I bought from a vendor at a northeast Ohio record convention back in the early 90's. He was a regular taper of big shows that came through Pittsburgh (Springsteen, Rolling Stones, Van Halen, Metallica, etc.), though I was mostly interested in his Rush recordings at the time. I was forever hunting for good bootlegs of the band on recent tours through Cleveland, so his tapes of Rush in Pittsburgh to me were the next best thing.

This 1st gen tape, as mentioned above, improves on the quality of "Orchestrate Illusions" and has The Pass. It's a good recording-- one of the first boots I ever collected from a contemporary Rush tour back then, and it's still an enjoyable listen. It has less crowd noise than "A Difference of Perspective", though that sounds great, too. If you saw Rush that night in PIttsburgh, you're in luck, thanks to these two tapers. They both did a great job.
