Audio 5 March 1976 - Randhurst Ice Arena, Mount Prospect, Illinois [Audience]

Based on what we know with other setlist, I may only speculate the Brantford set could have been something similar to this:
Bastille Day, Anthem, Lakeside Park, The Necromancer, By-Tor, Fly By Night, Working Man, Finding My Way, In The Mood.

It goes without saying that many people would love to hear another live recording of the complete Necromancer.

I selected a few notes from Skip and Eric's "Wandering the Face of the Earth" book when I created this tour date page, as well as other sources, and we know the full Necromancer was played at least as late as February 14, 1976 in Waterloo. It's safe to assume it was a setlist standard, but perhaps some nights in 1975 more resembled the Randhurst setlist. After all there are other documented performances of Bald, such as December 22, 1975.

I'm really hoping to try my best to reach out to people who are sitting on forgotten tapes they recorded, to help document more holes in Rush's touring history. Not limited to the Caress of Steel tour, audio and video from the 70s, 80s, and early 90s is of a lot of interest still. Of course, the mid 70s era is the biggest black hole, so hopefully we find more from that era.
The best I can find is from the Power Windows Website that differs from Cygnus-X1 and Setlist FM.

Caress Of Steel Tour Setlists

Only two recordings exist from this tour, audience tapes from November 15, 1975, and March 5, 1976 (just days before the release of the followup album, 2112). Though recorded four months apart, the setlists are very similar, each featuring an alternate Caress of Steel track (with "The Necromancer" later replaced by "I Think I'm Going Bald"), the addition of "Fly by Night", and an alternate encore from the debut album (with "In The Mood" later replaced by "Finding My Way"). Though the sample size is small, the similarity between those two sets makes one wonder if the supporting setlist was comparable throughout the tour. Both the aforementioned shows are supporting sets; no authentic headlining setlists from this tour have surfaced.

In Waterloo on Valentine's Day 1976 according to Setlist FM The Necromancer was played. Cygnus-X1 site still states the "Tour supporting 2112" began February 6th, 1976 but we know that is not the case as per my RUSH 2112 research project that was critiqued by Donna Halper of which she was most helpful in helping to solve the actual release date of that album. I have asked over various RUSH Facebook pages but have had zero responses to the request of any actual Setlist copies so it seems to this day, there are still no physical copies so far that anyone may have that they want to share publicly.

However, the Power Windows Website lists that the 2112 tour start date is March 15th, 1976 at The Starwood so somebody is reading and that makes me very happy you guys considering that Website is Copyrighted by Anthem even though the citation is an ad that references Ron Fritts historical research collection. So when that was Uploaded I can't say as can't seem to see any date on the inspect element feature on Chrome but it jives with the work and I am adding this to my paper!
