Notes:

  • This show was recorded by recurring concert taper Rick B.
  • This is among one of the best sounding recordings from the GUP tour, and overall one among the best known Rush bootlegs.
  • Old bootleg versions of this recording copy the Three Stooges intro and first minute of The Spirit Of Radio from the official GUP Tour video's soundtrack. With the direct transfers from the master tape, The Spirit Of Radio is complete, but the Three Stooges intro was apparently not recorded.

Supposedly, this channel was the original owner of the master. Here is a higher-quality version of the boot he has posted on his Youtube channel (I don't think he has posted FLAC files for this specific upload, but he may if he is reached out to):

EDIT: It may also be worth reaching out to him for remasters of the Power Windows concert at that same location (presumably the same person made it).

EDIT 2 (A year later): This wasn't the owner of the master tape. This was just a channel that remastered the master tape that was originally uploaded to Dimeadozen. A different person also recorded the PoW Milwaukee tape, but the master was sadly lost for that recording.

Thank you for sharing this information! I'll definitely look into it and see if he has the files for those two concerts available.
Ok, I just reached out to the current channel owner to provide lossless master archives of this and possibly the same show at the same location (MECCA Arena) for the following tour. Hopefully I will get a response back. When I do, I will let you know

Coincidence, I have the following to provide.

1984-06-25 - Milwaukee WI (24bit).rar (3.91 GB)

IMPORTANT: Please note the youtube upload as referenced right above is the same source (to my knowledge) but it is very much seriously EQ-ed.
Awesome, thanks for this! I will give it a good listen.

EDIT: I was able to use my audio player EQ to get roughly the same sound as the upload on YouTube. I can not get over how awesome this sounds!
