- Like most of Rush's early tours, setlist information for the 2112 tour is minimal and based on the few pieces of documentation available. Therefore, some of the starts/ends of date ranges can not be 100% confidently determined. The following information is as best as we are able to assume by examining audio recordings, reviews, interviews, and even photos. It's possible that there were more setlist variations during the the tour, however the three headline recordings we have (from March, May, and June "ATWAS") indicate very little changes were made to headline sets over the course of these specific months. For the purposes of this guide, to assume the most likely point that may have seen In The End moved to after By-Tor rather than prior, and What You're Doing replacing Best I Can as the encore, is following the week-long break after the conclusion of the March west cost shows, which essentially served as a warm-up period for the new 2112 tour setlist. It's also possible that Best I Can alternated with What You're Doing as the encore during the tour, however there is no evidence to prove this was the case. What we do know is that by October 1976, both of these songs were then being played back-to-back for the final encores.
- There is a newspaper review to confirm a complete rendition of The Necromancer was played during at least one early show, on March 28 in Portland. This however could have been a one-time instance on the 2112 tour, as the review confirms that Rush extended their set to partially compensate for Styx being unable to make it to the venue. Full setlist details regarding this Portland show are unknown.
- Prior to 1977, Rush were still frequently opening for other bands and playing shortened setlists that would vary from gig to gig. Therefore the following information is only documenting full-length headline setlists. Non-headlining "opening act" concerts from this tour have yet to be fully documented, though based on shortened All The World’s A Stage tour setlists (which is technically just more of the 2112 tour), we can speculate they would’ve featured Bastille Day, Anthem, Lakeside Park, 2112, and for the encore would have potentially featured the Working Man / Finding My Way / Drum Solo medley.
