Notes:

  • This footage was shot by an uncredited fan. Audio sync by Prog Vault. A new improved sync will be coming in the future by Grommet2112.
  • This film has long circulated as February 21 in Dubuque, Iowa, however at some point years later it started occasionally appearing as May 9 in Buffalo, New York. Despite the Buffalo confusion having muddied the facts surrounding this film, there has yet been any real proof to verify either location. It's worth noting that online photos of the stage at the Five Flags Arena seem to support what we can see in the film. It has also been suggested that this film shows many similarities with the film from Cedar Rapids, Iowa in late 1979, indicating possibly the same filmer. This could all further suggest the date of this 1981 film is indeed most likely from Dubuque, Iowa.
  • As with any 8mm audience footage from this era, full songs and concerts were not able to be captured due to the short length of the film reels.
  • Also as is the case with many 8mm reels of the era, the film used did did not concurrently record audio, so the resulting footage was silent. However, in our present day era, it is fairly easy to sync these old silent 8mm film clips with audio recordings. Since there is no known audience audio recording of this date, audio from another show was used to sync and bring more life to this very rare footage of Rush.
