Song Segments Captured:

Working Man
Fly By Night
In The Mood

Notes:

  • This footage was shot by Bill Wheeler. Audio sync and color correction by Classic Rock Media Archive. UFO opened for Rush at this show, who were also filmed.
  • As with any 8mm film, full songs and concerts were not able to be captured due to the short length of each film cartridge (~3.5 minutes). Also, as with most 8mm film from the era, the film stock and camera used could not concurrently record audio.
  • Since there is no known audience audio recording of this date, the audio tape from the night prior in NYC was used to sync sound and enliven the precise moments captured on this film.

Oh my goodness this is unreal. Fairly long segments of Working Man with the full AFTK Tour wardrobe in effect. Alex just dominating the stage! And this must be the most comprehensive footage of Fly By Night - and it's so neat to see Alex and Geddy hamming it up. A song on its way out of the setlist and they guys are just having fun, a trend that carried on through the decades. Thank you!!
