Notes:

  • This is a very rare opening act performance, as Rush was mainly headlining by 1977 and onward. Rush was opening for Blue Oyster Cult during this performance.
  • This was also Rush's very first performance in Rhode Island.
  • This recording was made by well-known taper Dan Lampinski.
  • Due to being an opening act, this show did not feature the standard headlining AFTK setlist, so Lakeside Park was not performed following Bastille Day, nor the usual songs preceding 2112.
  • This recording cuts off during the final flourishes of Grand Finale, but I imagine this show would have concluded with the Working Man / Fly By Night / In The Mood / Drum Solo medley. An old newspaper review states that Rush performed for 65 minutes including an encore. This recording is 46 minutes long, so my theorized setlist seems to be the most likely scenario when comparing track times from other AFTK tour recordings. I don't think they would've had time to play Cinderella Man for the second encore.
